Carpio was conceived by a team of Amazon, data and advertising experts with over a hundred years of collective experience.  We’ve done the hard work finding out what drives success on Amazon so you don’t have to - and then we codified that collective knowledge into our platform.

Our team

Rupert Staines, CEO

Rupert brings over 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship, and leading and investing in US & European technology and data driven platforms having led several US start-ups through international expansion and ultimately exit through trade sale, merger and listing including SpecificMedia and RadiumOne.  He has a BA in German & Management.

 

Steve McCartney, CTO

Steve has been building and operating martech and data platforms since 2000, and has held CTO positions at all scales of companies from start-ups to multinationals including SpecificMedia, VisualDNA and MD Europe at WideOrbit.  He has multiple successful trade exits and holds several technology patents in addition to an MEng in Materials Science from Oxford University.

 

Tim van der Bilt, Non-Exec Board Member

Tim is the founder and CEO of Maze-One, a full service Amazon agency, and understands the challenges on Amazon reporting and optimization as no other. Prior to this he was the founder and CEO of AdCombination, Netherlands first programmatic agency which was acquired by Specific Media. Also he has held board roles at Yahoo!, AOL and Dentsu Aegis Network.  He has a BA in economics and is the proud father of three.

 

Auke Meijer, CFO

Auke stepped into the digital arena in 1997. Starting in a fast growing start up and ending in a multinational company Dentsu Aegis, before joining The Valley in Dec 2013. As CFO/COO, he combines finance, business and process. With broad knowledge of ‘digital’ combined with media expertise, makes him a respected trusted advisor for clients. Driving force behind the labels Maze-One, Penfield and Nominow.
